Karen Holland

Karen Holland, age 71, of Shelby, NC passed away today, Monday, March 27, 2023 after her long and courageous battle with cancer.

Karen was the eldest daughter of Don and Helen (nee Oyler) Belton, born September 20, 1951 in Mt. Holly, New Jersey.

Because she and her family lived and traveled to so many places as a child, she also came to love traveling herself.  She had a love of antiques, cooking, and home design.  You would often see her sitting on her porch (her happy place) greeting her neighbors and always having it uniquely decorated depending on the season or holiday.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Holland of 23 years.  Other family members are: Jan Broeckel of Aiken, SC, Diane and John Burns of Winters, CA, John and Athena Belton of Flagstaff, Arizona, Michelle, John, Lily and Poppy Criswell of Meridian, Idaho, Ashley Holland (with 2 daughters Addison Miller and Lily Staranto) of Rock Falls, Illinois, Don Holland of Dixon, Illinois, Darlene Holland of Rock Falls, Illinois and Beth Oyler of Jacksonville, Florida.
