Gordon ‘Lee’ Bloom III, unfortunately passed away on December 30, 2022. He was born on April 14, 1970 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Joyce and Gordon Bloom, Jr. He attended Milford, MA high school and graduated from Stevenson High in Lincolnshire Ill. He attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL and worked as a roofing and Residential Construction Contractor.

Gordon along with his wife Evelyn Bloom moved to Lake Lure NC nine years ago, and have three wonderful and amazing children, Emery(18), Chloe(17) and River(7).  Before Gordon’s passing, they moved to Forest City NC. One of his greatest joys was playing his guitar, he brought it with him almost everywhere he went and would spread love with his music. Gordon was a Bass player and singer for his bands Lava Jama, Soft Sole Loafers and Bullfeather Music Factory. He appreciated the outdoors and spent some time hiking the Appalachian trail in his youth. He recently started a Tik Tok Page under the name pickinanagrinnin, where he spent a lot of time playing his acoustic guitar, singing and editing his videos to share with the world.

Gordon was the life of the party and he was never nervous to try something new. He was a assiduous man who spent a lot of time working extremely hard for his family and had Immense Pride in himself, his work and his family.

Lee,

You’re truly missed by your friends and family. Just know how much we Love and Miss you and we will carry you in our hearts forever. There will never be anyone else that can fill your shoes or give the love you gave, like you have. We Love you Always and Forever. I will follow you to the ends of the Earth and Back.

Dad, this tune is for you,

Love Mom, Emery, Chloe, River and Fuzzy (Chris Coomes).

Ripple-by Grateful Dead

If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine

And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung

Would you hear my voice come through the music?

Would you hold it near as it were your own?

It's a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken

Perhaps they're better left unsung

I don't know, don't really care

Let there be songs to fill the air

Ripple in still water

When there is no pebble tossed

Nor wind to blow

Reach out your hand, if your cup be empty

If your cup is full, may it be again

Let it be known there is a fountain

That was not made by the hands of men

There is a road, no simple highway

Between the dawn and the dark of night

And if you go, no one may follow

That path is for your steps alone

Ripple in still water

When there is no pebble tossed

Nor wind to blow

You who choose to lead must follow

But if you fall you fall alone

If you should stand then who's to guide you?

If I knew the way I would take you home
