Sadaliah "Sadie" Byers

Sadie E. Byers, age 78, of Mooresboro, NC, passed away Monday, August 1, 2022 at Oak Grove Healthcare Center in Rutherfordton.

Sadie was born Wednesday, December 15, 1943 to the late Howard L. Byers and Dorothy Leach Byers.  She was a graphic designer for a Christian Book Store for over twenty-eight years.  Sadie was also the church secretary for Hicks Grove Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and cooking; especially baking cookies that she could give to family.

In addition to her parents, Sadie was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Byers, and two sisters, Vondalese Blackwell and Juanita Byers.

Those left to cherish her memory are a brother David Byers (Linda) of Rutherfordton, and a sister, Velvie McCranie of Wilmington, NC.

A memorial service for Sadie will be held at a later date.
