Mr. Robert Lee Gantt “Bobby” 71, of Belwood, NC, went to rest high on that mountain on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Because his work here on earth is done. He is now in heaven shouting and rejoicing to the father and son. Born in Cleveland County, NC on March 27,1952. He was the son of the late Eure “Lee” Gantt and his loving mother, Virginia Daves Gantt. He was also preceded in death by his girlfriend of 33 years, Ms. Connie Moore. He is survived by his three children, Kristie Scroggs (Erick), Bobby Gantt (Tammy), Tanya Paga’n (Wil) and eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also left to cherish his memory is his sister Mary Shytle (Jack) and brother Billy Gantt (Marites) along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert was a proud American who loved the Lord, his family, and his country. He came from a long line of military servicemen. His great grandfather served during the civil war, his grandfather served during WW I and his dad served during WW II, Korea and Vietnam.  Robert, himself served as a medic during the US Army for eight years. After his Army service, Robert devoted his life as a caregiver in various jobs throughout the years. In his spare time, Robert did a lot of woodworking and carved walking sticks that he gave to family and friends.

In respect of his wishes, no services are planned at this time. His children plan to have a private memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Robert request you all to hold your loved one tight and tell them you love them.
