Norma Greene

Norma "Dee" Greene, 84 of Mooresville NC passed away on May 6th, 2022 at Novant Huntersville after a brief illness.

She was born in Newton, NC to Fred and Ella Hefner. She a graduate of Statesville High Class of '56. Her career included Ryland Homes and Barclay Mortgage. She married Robert "Bob" Greene on June 23, 1957 and together they enjoyed mission work with their church Rehoboth UMC and the NCSU Wolfpack Club. Dee was also involved with the Homebuilders Assoc., Lake Norman Garden Club &Carolina Caring. Dee wrote an online Daily Devotion for 10 years that grew to a devoted group of over 200, and a card ministry for the Salisbury VA hospital.

She is preceded in death by her husband, sister Janet Remicci , her parents and Dessie Hefner.

She is survived by her son Rob and Debbie Greene and daughter Joy Greene and partner Bruce Hunsucker. Her beloved Grand and Great-grandchildren include Robert Greene, wife Deanna,  children Ella and Wilkie;Jamie Greene; Danielle Greene Schorr, husband Houston, children Emma and Evee; Allison Greene and her child Atticus; Clint Cartwright and wife Jaime.

Her beloved extended family includes many neices and nephews, surrogate Grands and Greats, and her many, many wonderful  friends.

The family will hold a celebration of life on June 23 and a memorial service on June 24 at Rehoboth UMC in Terrell, NC at 3pm with a family receiving in the Fellowship hall beginning at 1pm. Memorial donations may be made to Rehoboth UMC or Carolina Caring Sherrill's Ford, NC.
