Gale Rape

Gale Tippens Rape, age 74, of Rutherfordton, North Carolina passed away on June 28, 2022 at home encompassed by her loved ones. Born April 24, 1948, Gale is from Chattanooga, Tennessee and was the wife of Reverend Bobby Rape. She is survived by her younger brother, Reverend Dr. Ronnie Tippens, daughters Melanie Lynn Rape and Linda Renee Addington, her son Robert Marvin Rape Jr., husband of Tamara Waters Rape, and grandchildren: Richard Matthew Fenner III, Robert Mason Fenner, husband of Haley Newton Fenner, Joshua Phillip Forest, Miranda Lael Rape, and Madison Andrew Fenner who held her dearly as “Nanny.” She was the beloved great grandmother and great aunt of others as well. Gale was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers, and husband. She became a licensed practical nurse in 1980, and advanced to registered nurse in 1994. She practiced faithfully for 30+ years. She loved to cook and decorate for all occasions, reading, gardening, and was immensely dedicated to her family and church. She will be missed dearly, but know that her spirit is flying high and full of life and joy.

Memorial service will be held at Pleasant View Community Church of Forest City on Sunday, July 3rd, 2022 at 3 PM. Those who would like to join the family of Gale in celebration of her memory are welcome to join. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to Pleasant View Community Church located at 129 Michael Drive, Forest City, NC 28043.
